Doku koleji Montessori School provides early childhood education that builds a strong foundation for confident, compassionate participation in the world. We nurture each child’s unique gifts, passion for learning, and independence. Specific teaching methods must be tailored to each specific age, the method of education we adopt gives importance to the child’s specific age and accordingly we adjust the learning method, moreover, since the study is done in small classrooms of up to 15 children in the classroom, this allows us to have a thorough look at each child and child. Addressing the unique and individual needs of each.
When we say education for the whole child we mean that human is not just a thinking head and not just a heart feeling and not just an active body but all those things and more, everything together, therefore the whole child’s needs must be addressed, Just for instance : Emotional by art, Thinking by math and our physical body by healthy foods and sports activities. Education for the whole child essence is done through a combination of all areas of learning from early childhood.
Our school is located in the heart of the green Bursa city at Doburca neighborhood surrounded with trees and river. We enroll children between the ages of 3 years old to 12 years old. Programs include 3 sections of ages: kindergarten, pre-school and Elementary School. here you got a Montessori School from kindergarten to Sixth grade, in future we might add a Middle School and a High School from our own. Childcare is available before and after school in all programs.
Our curriculum is researched based, following the practices defined through scientific observation by Dr. Maria Montessori. These include individualized lesson plans, freedom of movement, hands-on experiential learning, and opportunities to learn indoors and outdoors.
What makes our school unique is its huge emphasis on Language Studies and international relations, as well as its broad emphasis on music and art studies.
